Salman Khan

Salman Khan, born Abdul Rashid Khan on December 27, 1965, is a renowned Indian actor, film producer, singer, and television personality. He hails from a prominent Bollywood family; his father is the famous screenwriter Salim Khan, and his mother is Salma Khan. 

 Salman made his acting debut in the film "Biwi Ho To Aisi" in 1988, but his first leading role came in the romantic film "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989), directed by Sooraj Barjatya. The film was a massive success and established Salman Khan as a leading actor in the industry. His portrayal of the character Prem won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. 


 Throughout the 1990s, Salman starred in numerous successful films, including "Baaghi: A Rebel for Love" (1990), "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!" (1994), and "Karan Arjun" (1995). He also earned critical acclaim for his performances in movies like "Khamoshi: The Musical" (1996) and "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya" (1998). 

 Despite facing some professional setbacks in the early 2000s, Salman Khan bounced back with a string of blockbuster hits. Some of his notable films during this period include "Tere Naam" (2003), "Wanted" (2009), and "Dabangg" (2010). The character Chulbul Pandey from "Dabangg" became iconic and contributed to the film's immense success. 

 Apart from acting, Salman Khan has ventured into film production with his company, Salman Khan Films. He has produced successful films like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" (2015) and "Sultan" (2016), both of which received widespread acclaim. 


 Salman Khan is also known for his philanthropic efforts. He has supported various charitable causes and runs the Being Human Foundation, which focuses on healthcare and education initiatives. 

 Despite his immense popularity, Salman Khan has been involved in several controversies over the years, including legal issues and public spats. Nevertheless, his fan following remains strong, and he continues to be one of the most influential and bankable stars in the Indian film industry.
